Ridley Institute: Introduction to Anglicanism
How did a small number of Jesus followers on a small cluster of islands off the coast of Europe grow to become the largest Protestant Church in the world? What is the unique genius of the Anglican Way of following Jesus? Introduction to Anglicanism is an overview of how the Christian Faith was lived out within, and spread out from, the British Isles from the earliest days of the Christian Era until today. This course assumes no prior knowledge of Anglicanism.
Instructor: The Rev’d Dr. Sam Pascoe has been an Anglican clergyman since 1984. He has served in churches large and small, has authored two books on Anglican theology and history, and has taught at Trinity School for Ministry, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and the Ridley Institute.
This is a two-day course, with coffee with light refreshments and lunch provided both days. This class is only offered in person.
