Fishin' for a Mission Tournament
"ALL RELEASE" FORMAT ~ ELIGIBLE SPECIES:
Redfish, Trout, Flounder & Sheepshead (no size limits)
COMPETITION FORMAT:
Teams ~ Most Total Fish (ALL Eligible Species) Caught by a Team in ONE single day - Wins!
First Place: $500. Second Place: $300. Third Place: $200.
- A "Registered Team" may consists of 1 to 4 Anglers maximum - that fish as a team.
- Teams may fish a Maximum of 1 day (during the time-frame of the Tournament).
- Anglers must boat their fish (taking care to not harm the fish), and take a photo of the fish, making sure the *day/date/time coded on the photo! (*most smartphones do this automatically).
- Teams record their One (1) Days' catch results on the provided "Catch Report"
- Teams then submit their One (1) Days' catch results to the Committee, and are then "in-the-running" to Place First, Second or Third Place Overall.
- If more than one team catches the same number of fish, winner will be based on time.
- Example - 2 teams catch 12 fish. The team that records (via time-stamped photo) the 12 caught fish first ... Wins!
- 10 Teams minimum MUST Register to Compete in order to Constitute a Tournament.
- Teams MUST Register to enter the tournament by Monday, MAY 20th
- Entry Fee: $100. Per Team
SCHEDULE:
Tournament Begins: Saturday, June1st
Tournament Ends: Sunday, June 16th
TEAMS:
- A "Registered Team" may consists of 1 to 4 anglers that fish as a team.
- Teams may consist of a maximum of 4 anglers.
- The combination of the "Teams" total catch / Aggregate is submitted to the committee.
- Teams may fish a Maximum of 1 day & ONLY ONE DAY'S CATCH may be submitted during the tournament time-frame.
- Multiple teams can (are allowed to) compete and fish together on one boat.
(Example: 4, 1-man teams may fish together on the same boat)
- Each team competes, and may fish any day during the tournament period (1 day max.)
ANGELING METHODS:
Fish may only be caught using Rod & Reels (with any pound test/tackle).
Any bait may be used (live, or artificial, or fly)
Fishing from Bulls Bay (N), to Edisto Beach (S)
"Assisting-the-Anglers" is permitted (for our younger anglers).
TO QUALIFY:
- Anglers must boat their fish, take a photo of the fish; the photo MUST INCLUDE the time/date-stamped on the photo. It MUST correspond with the dates of the tournament.
- The Team combines each to their teams' competing anglers' fish for the day's aggregate.
- A provided "Catch Report Sheet" must be completed, and returned to the Committee* by the end of the day, on the final day (*via email, text, or in person to a committee member).
- The sheet will list the total number of fish the team released.
- At the completion of the tournament, Photos must be ready to be provided to the Committee for the top 3 places in order to verify catch/releases, date and times.
- All anglers MUST COMPLY with ALL SC DR sates fishing laws, rules & regulations.
- Anglers may keep any "legal" fish (according to SC NR Rules & Regulations) for food fare - but no fish are required to be measured or weighed.
This is a Christian Gentleman/Lady Tournament - so you are "on your honor" to comply with these rules & regulations of the tournament.
Cheaters will be forgiven. But disqualified! God will be the Judge on this!
